Head Swim Coach: Dale Turner
In 2006, Coach Dale landed his first head coaching position at Holy Cross School. The team had seven swimmers, three of which were seniors. In 2009, Coach had cultivated the team to 56 swimmers, 25 varsity swimmers and 21 middle school swimmers. That same year, Coach guided the Holy Cross Swim Team to the school’s first Swimming State Championship and followed it up with another State Championship in 2010. In 2011, the high school team finished third at state and the middle school team landed second place in the GNOHSSL.
Coach Dale has also coached teams in the GNOCCSL and USA Swimming. Coach guided the Cypress Lakes Swim Team to an undefeated season winning both their Divisional and City Championships in 2011 and 2012. In August 2011, Coach founded Louisiana STORM Aquatics LLC, a fully affiliated USA Swimming Club Team, which holds practices year-round at CLCC and UNO. STORM had several swimmers place in the Top 16 at the State Short Course Swim Meet this past February.

Practices:
On Monday, May 6th all ages will practice from 5-6:00 p.m.
Beginning May 28th practice will be as follows:
Mondays, Thursdays & Fridays: 8 & Under 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.; 9 & Up 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Tuesdays: All ages' 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. with social to follow.
CLCC “TGIF” Socials to be held on Fridays after practice; info to come.
Parent Meeting for New Swimmers:
Wednesday, May 1st 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the CLCC Ballroom
Mock Practice Meet:
Wednesday, May 29th at 5:00 p.m.
Volunteer Job Descriptions:
One person from each family must volunteer for three meets throughout the season.
Timers: Operate a stopwatch and write times on cards. Two timers are needed per lane.
Scorers: Keep track of points at the scoring table (sit in shade).
Averager: Average the swimmer’s times from cards and place cards in order (sit in shade).
Ribbon writers: Write names and times on ribbons (sit in shade).
Ready area: Help organize swimmers in chairs and get them to the blocks so they don’t miss their events.
Runners: Run entry cards from timers to scoring table (great way to work out).
**Officials: Parents trained to do Stroke & Turn Judging, Refereeing and Starting (training will be online and easy this year!!)
Place Judging: Identify place order of swimmers in each heat.
